Overview
Lagan  Technologies Limited specializes in delivering world-class solutions that effectively and efficiently connect governments and people. Lagan embarked on their new web site project to improve the look, functionality and manageability of their web presence. They needed to offer and manage content versions for the two major markets they serve.

Multi-Language
Lagan’s web site takes advantage of the multi-language capabilities of the Ektron CMS400 platform. Localized content for both North America and United Kingdom markets are offered. CMS400’s XLIFF capabilities help by exporting the current content for translation and bringing the localized content back in to the site for review and publishing.

Structured content
Lagan’s web site makes extensive use of Ektron CMS400’s smart form technology.  Structured content entered by smart forms offers many advantages to simple html pages.  For example, content can be entered one time and displayed multiple places in the site. The fields of the smart form can also be used for filtering and/or sorting. One of the other major benefits is to ensure consistent display of the content across the site or page.
These content types were placed in custom built smart forms:

• Management
• News
• Partners

Collections
Lagan’s web site uses the collection technology within CMS400 to bring controlled display of customers and the management team.  These collections display the structured content entered by the custom built smart form. This allows Lagan personnel to easily keep the content up to date and have the system render a very consistent controlled page.
