AIT Laboratories Launches New CMS400 site

AIT Laboratories sought to bring their new corporate branding to the web site and wanted to highlight their specific test services with a searchable Test Catalog.

ServerSide, Inc. conducted detailed interviews with AIT Laboratories personnel to discover the ways that different types of visitors might search and use the catalog.  Some visitors have a medical background while others may be lawyers or office staff with no or limited medical knowledge. AIT wanted all types of users to have ways to find what they were looking for regardless of their background. Multiple ways of searching were needed. ServerSide met this need by providing a test listing by letter, a search by test code and a search by keyword.

One main issue was the fact that a given test may have different compound names that the test can find (i.e. the generic and brand name).  The details of the catalog data were analyzed and then the presentation was designed. ServerSide then used the powerful index search capabilities of CMS400, slightly customized, to be able to return the proper test for both the brand and generic names.  The test catalog lets the user search and find the test they are looking for and then helps them to easily communicate that informaton via e-mail or printing the details.
