AIT Laboratories wished to bring their new corporate branding to their web presence, enhance the presentation of their qualities and capabilities and improve the tools they offered visitors.
Test Catalog
At the heart of the improved tools goal was the Test Catalog and giving the visitors various ways to find the test or tests that would meet their needs. During the architectural phase, the types of visitors were discussed and considered. The Test Catalog search had to be friendly to both medical and non-medical users. Some users would know the exact spelling and others would not. Added to the mix was the fact that the same test may apply to compounds that have multiple names (i.e. Acetaminophen and Tylenol ). AIT further wished that the test information once found be easily printed or emailed. ServerSide, Inc. used the powerful search features of the Ektron CMS400.net platform to build a very flexible and useful search tool. ServerSide, Inc. used Ektron’s smart form technology to provide a flexible and easy way for the AIT Laboratories personnel to manage the Test Catalog content.
Interactive Map
Contact information for AIT Laboratory’s Regional Sales Managers can be easily found from the interactive map. The content for each manager is easily edited in the Ektron CMS 400 work area. The powerful taxonomy capabilities allow each manager to be assigned to a state with a single click by the state. This is another of the one-to-many relationships this site required and was easily met with the tools in CMS400.net.
Related Content
The new web site allows AIT personnel a large amount of flexibility to easily display and edit the related content to a page. Related service line image and text content is also editable from the CMS400 work area.
Highlighted News Stories
ServerSide, Inc. utilized the collection technology in CMS400 to allow AIT to designate news stories that would appear as the featured stories on the site at that time. These three featured stories can be displayed in any order AIT wishes and once a change of story is made it is reflected throughout the site automatically.
